Our WAI bed (War Against Imports!): Sold at a very low price (POA), this alternative high/low bed is priced for stringent budgets without compromising patient safety. The difference in this model is that we have replaced the Dewert electronics with lower-cost Chinese actuators that still carry the C-Tick and TCA Certification, and the SWL is slightly lower at 150kg. The combined bed and electronics still meet the AS/NZS 3200.2.38:2007 standard. The WAI actuators come with a two-year warranty
whereas the Dewerts are guaranteed for five years. The WAI bed also carries the standard Unique Care 10-year frame guarantee.

Beware of cheap electronics

Look for the C-Tick & TCA Certification.

Note: “CE” certification is European and does NOT deem electronics to be safe or legal for use in Australia. Without C-Tick and TCA certification on your electronics you are putting your staff and residents at risk.

Both our high/low bed models carry C-Tick & TCA Certification on the electronics. The full price model uses Dewert electronics, which come with a five-year warranty. The alternative WAI bed electronics come with a two-year warranty.
